JT Stewart (poet / writer / playwright / editor / teacher) co-founded Seattle's Clarion West Writers Workshop, now in its 33th consecutive year. Her poetry teaching credits include the Richard Hugo House in Seattle and the Seattle Public Library (University Branch). She has published four chapbooks, and is Poetry Editor of Millenium Reflection: Seattle Poets & Photographers (University of Washington Press). A frequently published poet in Stone Telling — a continuing online magazine — she also appears in The Moment of Change (the feminist speculative poetry anthology, Rose Lemberg, Editor). As a woman of African descent, JT celebrates her work in Raven Chronicles and the Aqueduct Press anthology Strange Matings: Science Fiction, Feminism, African-American Voices & Octavia E. Butler. JT's poetry broadsides have appeared in the Seattle Art Museum Washington State Convention Center galleries and are part of a permanent exhibit in the Allen Library (University of Washington). Currently JT serves as a judge — 1 of 80 from 5 countries — for the SOVAS Awards (Society of Voice Arts & Sciences), the Allen Library (University of Washington), and the Washington State Convention Center galleries.
