Just a reminder that if you follow the Seattle Review of Books on Instagram, you'll find all sorts of photos of readings, events, and Little Free Libraries that you might not see here on the site. We'll be out and about on Free Comic Book Day this Saturday, too; be sure and follow us to keep up on the action.
"I want books," reads graffiti scrawled in pink on the windows of the recently closed Half Price Books location on Roosevelt. Sad this neighborhood doesn't have its own bookstore anymore, but glad to celebrate #independentbookstoreday at some of Seattle's many independent bookstores today. Thankfully, we still have books.
Ravenna Third Place Books is hopping for #independentbookstoreday, with free coffee and scones, a satisfying clicky prize wheel, lots of kids events, and some very nice women who will cheerfully help you write and mail postcards (postage included!) to your local representative about issues of your choice.
